So far I think Everyman Gaming: Kineticists plays fine with the Kineticists of Porphyra line, and Adaptive Utility is great for keeping the mind-reading relevant, I think. I'm building a air/fire kineticist, and Kineticists of Porphyra has a composite blast -- thunderflash, which is half electricity/half fire. As far as I can tell, there's no guidance regarding what form infusions you can apply to these new composite blasts.

Porphyria is an inherited rare disorder that affects the nervous system or skin and may cause abdominal pain. Cells of porphyria patients are unable to change body chemicals called porphyrins and its precursors into heme, the substance responsible for blood color. Skin symptoms characterize the biochemically and clinically manifest stage. Latent or subclinical phases in which urinary porphyrin constellations change from mild to severe stages can be recognized before cutaneous lesions arise. The development of chronic hepatic porphyria is outlined in Figure 2.
